Purpose:
To help learners with word order in sentences and placement of adjectives and adverbs
Preparation time:
10 minutes
Materials:
15 sentences written on paper
Preparation:
Write 15 sentences for learners to expand on.
For example:
She is happy.
He listens to music.
We take sugar in our coffee.
They drive to school.
They are at home.
Procedure:
- Tell the learners that they will need to add the word “never” to each sentence.
- Say the first sentence. For example, “She is happy.”
- Learners respond with “She is never happy.”
- Go on to the next sentence. You may do this with learners responding in unison or individually.
