Change My Sentence

  Purpose:

To help learners with word order in sentences and placement of adjectives and adverbs

 

Preparation time: 

10 minutes

 

Materials:  

15 sentences written on paper

 

Preparation:

Write 15 sentences for learners to expand on.  

            For example:

She is happy.

He listens to music.

We take sugar in our coffee.

They drive to school.

They are at home.

 

Procedure:

  1. Tell the learners that they will need to add the word “never” to each sentence.
  2. Say the first sentence. For example, “She is happy.”
  3. Learners respond with “She is never happy.”
  4. Go on to the next sentence. You may do this with learners responding in unison or individually.
