In September 2007, MLC opened its doors for the first day of the Children's English School at the MLC Learning Center in Northeast Minneapolis. Due to its success, we opened a second Children's English School at MLC Learning Center - Arlington Hills in September 2009. Children between the ages of 3 and 5 attend while their parent or guardian takes adult English classes at the center.  Once a week, children and parents participate in shared learning time together in the children's classroom, learning about activities they can do at home to promote literacy and school readiness.

The Children's English School is free. Enrollment takes place every Wednesday from 12:15 p.m.- 2:15 p.m.  At the Northeast site, classes meet Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. At the Arlington Hills site, classes meet Monday through Friday from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m.
