Double Take

Activity Name: Double Take

 

Purpose: This is a team or community-building activity; it also sharpens students’ powers of observation and helps them practice vocabulary.

 

Preparation Time:  2 minutes

 

Materials:  none

 

Preparation: none

                                             

 

Procedure:

    1. Divide the group into two teams.  The teams line up on either side of the room facing each other.
    2. Each team has one minute to carefully observe the other team.
    3. After one minute, take one team out of the room.
    4. The students in both groups have 5 minutes to make ten changes in their appearance.  They may change clothing, visible jewelry or hairstyles.
    5. When the 5 minutes are up, bring the groups together again.  Each team takes turns guessing what changes the other team has made.  Award one point for each correct guess.  Take one point off for each incorrect guess.
    6. The team with the greatest number of points wins.
