Educational Heritage Project
The Volunteer Issues Committee of Literacy Minnesota dedicated a full year to researching and developing tools in order to increase awareness of the educational heritages learners bring to our classrooms and to provide resources for improving the cultural sensitivity of our programming.

An Overview of the Project Tools

Culture and Value Assessments :

Educational Heritage Tools:

Educational heritages guides will be available for different countries that adult English language learners come from. This includes country reports with research-based information, personal interviews and/or stories of Minnesota learners, and a list of cultural resources including websites and organizations.

Educational Heritage Project Wiki:

This interactive website houses the educational heriatage research and oral histories. Use this tool to gather information of different educational heritages and submit educational heritages and oral histories from individuals at your program!
