What happens when I call the Hotline?
If you are requesting learner services, we will refer you to programs near you that meet your needs. We'll give you the phone numbers so you can call the programs to find out how to register and more details.
If you want to learn about volunteer tutoring, we'll send you training information and resources for selecting a program.

Why do I need to contact the program after I call the Hotline?
The Hotline is an information hub for the state's many literacy services. Each program operates independently and may require more detailed information from you such as your personal goals, schedule, or support-service needs. When you call a local program, you will be able to schedule a time to meet and discuss the services that will be most helpful.

Can I get a complete list of local programs?
Because the database contains over 450 programs and is frequently updated, we do not give out a list. However, you can search for programs online at www.theMLC.org/hotline.
