National Institute for Literacy (NIFL)

The National Institute for Literacy's Web site includes forums on workplace literacy, family literacy, English as a Second Language, adult literacy and learning disabilities, and advocacy issues. There is also information on the State Literacy Resource Centers, the Adult Literacy and Learning Disabilities Center, and other NIFL programs.

The national LINCS (Literacy Information and Communication System) site is a project of the National Institute for Literacy (NIFL). ProLiteracy Worldwide/ProLiteracy America

ProLiteracy Worldwide sponsors educational programs and services to help adults and their families acquire the literacy skills they need to function more effectively in their daily lives. Its publishing division, New Readers Press, produces and distributes approximately 500 titles of adult educational books and materials to literacy organizations, schools, libraries, and other institutions nationwide. New Readers Press also publishes News for You, a weekly newspaper for adult new readers, which is read by 90,000 adult learners.
