Purpose:

To review vocabulary (nouns, adjectives)

Materials:  

None

Preparation:  

Think of adjectives that are useful and that your students know.

Procedure:

1. Write 3 adjectives on the board (e.g.  small, round, hard)
2. Challenges the student(s) to come up with as many words as they can that are described by all three adjectives (eg, a baseball, a hardboiled egg, etc).
3. Write the words on the board as the students list them

(Note: It is VERY important to think through your sets of adjectives ahead of time or this will be a VERY difficult activity.)

Variations:

For lower-level students, write ONE adjective and have them come up with items that fit the category.

Have students work in teams to come up with the items.
