Requirements for the 2007-2008 Program Year

Classroom Member

• Strong interest in helping young children develop early language and literacy skills;
• Desire to work with diverse families and children;
• Ability and commitment to complete a full year of service;
• High school diploma or GED and must be at least 17-years-old;
• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident alien.

Literacy Coordinator

• Strong interest in education, specifically helping K-3 children develop literacy skills;
• Ability to multi-task and manage detailed projects;
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student/parent/teacher/community population;
• Responsible, dependable, flexible, motivated, and professional demeanor;
• Computer literate;
• Ability and commitment to complete a full year of service;
• High school diploma or GED and must be at least 17-years-old;
• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident alien.

Volunteer Coordinator

• Strong interest in education, specifically helping young children develop literacy skills;
• Computer literate;
• Ability to multi-task and manage detailed projects;
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student/parent/teacher/community population;
