Purpose:

To practice signing names using cursive

Preparation time: 

5 minutes

Materials: 

Lined paper for each student; forms that require printed information and signatures

Preparation:

Write in cursive the name of one student at the top of each sheet of lined paper

Procedure:

1. Introduce topic using forms, discussion, etc.
2. Print your name on the board or on paper. Ask learners where on the form they would need to do this. Sign your name on the board. Ask learners when and where they would need to do this.
3. Give out sheets of lined paper with names on them. Model tracing over the name.
4. Learners trace their name. Repeat as necessary.
5. Learners write their name in cursive on the lines below the name they were tracing.
