The Shopping List

Purpose:

To practice and review food vocabulary

 

Preparation time: 

None

 

Materials:  

Paper and pencils

 

Procedure:

  1. Ask students to think of a food that they prepare or that someone in their house prepares. Give them a minute or two to think.
  2. Tell them that they don’t have any of the ingredients necessary to make that food, so they need to make a list in order not to forget anything at the store.
  3. Students write their shopping lists. Circulate, helping students with unknown vocabulary.
  4. Students share their lists and the food that they would prepare with those ingredients.
