Adult Tutor Trainings Offered at MLC
ESL Tutor Pre-Service Training and Schedule
This 12-hour pre-service training will provide instructional skills in culture, assessment, listening, speaking, reading, writing, and lesson-planning.
Reading, Writing and GED Tutor Pre-Service Training and Schedule This 12-hour training instructs tutors on ways to teach spelling and sight words and to use textbooks to help learners improve their reading skills.
Tutor In-Service Workshops MLC strongly encourages volunteers to continually sharpen their instructional skills by paricipating in free in-service workshops on a variety of topics.
Educational Technology Trainings and Schedule We offer a number of educational technology trainings for ABE educators including teachers, tutors and program coordinators. Sessions are held at MLC, around the state and through distance learning offerings.
